Let me just start with the CAIPRINHIA amazing drinks that they have and the environment felt so homely. I ended up having one too many drinks they had a live karaoke session that night and there I was with my drink singing my life away !! I really enjoyed the close knit homely feeling in this location please go there on karaoke nights

Friday night we headed to Tilila to listen to Lee Burgos. Once we got there nobody greeted us at the entrance it was like a self service, you can sit where ever. The chips and salsa didn't taste good. The chips tasted like platanito chips from the bodega and the salsa that came with was just bad ( it was salty and heavy). We ordered the chicken marsala (pollo para el alma) and as you can see in the picture the chicken was not cleaned properly since it had a lot of extra gooey skin. As soon as I saw that I lost my appetite. Also, the fried platains and yuca fries were very large and it was hard to get small bites from them.
The waiter that was serving us was rude. She asked us if we could move to another table because a group of six came and they wanted to sit together, like what!? This is just a plain disrespectful and disorganized place. The only good okay part was Lee Burgos singing. But we couldn't enjoy it either because she wrote on her instagram account that she was going to be at Tilila at 10:30pm and the Tilila instagram wrote that she was going at 11pm so we got there around 10pm. She ended up signing at 12:30pm!!!!! That's just not professional.
I don't recommend this place at all- not going back. -

I usually come here on fridays or saturdays but I decided to come on a sunday afternoon and dam, night and day difference. I walked in and it was empty. I placed my order for chicken with wasakaka. my friend got the paella. her paella came out first. after 20 minutes I asked the waiter where my food was and he said these exact words "i'm sorry, but the chefs were in the back arguing whether to give you the frozen chicken or the fresh chicken, but don't worry you're getting the fresh one, just 5 more minutes"..well ok then. I continued to wait and when I finally got it it was halfway cooked. the most disgusting chicken ever. I gladly sent it back. i'll stick with the friday and saturday night drinks. sadly won't be back. makes sense why this place was empty and the place next door was packed.

Nice spot. It never got super crowded and the crowd that was there was really chill. Food and drinks were great!

Oh Bronx you never stop disappointing me I keep finding this hidden jewels hole in the wall type of places and tilila is perfect example of that the food was great the service a waiter manny was so amazing that even my wife felt the need for a generous tip( and she's so cheap) the decor and the life music made for a better night that we expected a quick dinner ended up been a 3 hour party for me and my wife... the Bronx keeps reminding me that u can not judge a book by its cover.... the Bronx is that rose the rises through the concrete jungle agains all odds.. can't wait to see what else I find...
